About Me

My name is Jessica.
I’m a small-town girl from the Midwest trying to make it through life with both my heart and mind intact. I’m a writer, a soul searcher, an aspiring inspirer (yes, I made that up), a soon to be fitness buff, a designer, and someone who is looking for inner peace.  Through my short 27 years, I’ve experienced a lot of life. I’ve lost, loved, and lost again. Tired of the perpetual negativity in my life, I decided to stop it once and for all. You can’t stop bad things from happening to you, but you can turn the negative into something positive.

Me

I believe in…

God, self-love, the power of creativity, love (most of the time), honesty, and helping others. Until recently, self-love wasn’t of the utmost importance to me. After a bad break up with someone I thought was the love of my life, I found myself completely lost and devastated. When I looked in the mirror, I didn’t see a happy soul. I saw someone who had neglected to notice the side effects of being in what became an unstable, unhealthy relationship. Due to that realization, I have since began to take more time for myself. It doesn’t matter if you are single or if you are in a relationship (healthy or not), you need to take care of yourself.

The facts…

+ I love to study about anything fitness and health-related. It’s amazing what whole foods and exercise can do to change your body and soul. I plan to someday help others with their dietary and fitness needs.
+ I enjoy learning about Buddhism. I find it absolutely fascinating. Seriously, check it out.
+ Whenever I’m feeling stressed, I make myself a hot cup of Earl Grey tea. It calms my soul.
+ I love to watch movies that show a character transform for the better. Movies like “Eat Pray Love” and “Elizabethtown” are my favorites.
+ I absolutely love animals. They make life much more wonderful.
+ I’m an ordained minister.
+ I’m into girls, not guys.

The Journey

I do not believe that one ever stops “finding themselves”. I believe that discovering your inner self is an ongoing part of life. I do feel that there are ways to make that learning process a little less difficult. Everything truly does happen for a reason. I am by no means an expert, but as I learn something that helps me…I want to pass that knowledge along to you. We are all together in this crazy thing called life. Let’s life our lives fully!
